Director of Morale
Bachelor of Science in Marketing
What do you do at Bit-Wizards?
My main role at Bit-Wizards centers on supporting the staff and administration in all aspects of day-to-day operations. I directly support Stacye Davidson, Director of Business Operations, in that I am her physical “arms and legs” in the office each day. Another aspect of my position at Bit-Wizards is helping foster positive office morale. Our culture here is relaxed, but still professional. Just as with every client interaction, the details matter. The simple task of stocking the refrigerator with drinks each morning is a detail that matters to our employees therefore, it matters to me! A comfortable environment equals happy and content employees this in turn, equals happy and content customers!
What is your background?
After completing college I started employment at a resort working in high-end retail sales. I quickly advanced to management and purchasing. After taking time off to start a family, I gained a position at a local church as a Director of Children’s Ministry. This was a great learning experience—selling work to volunteers isn’t easy!
What was your first paying job?
I was a car-hop at an old fashioned drive-in, fun first job!
People you admire the most?
My husband- he is the smartest, wisest person I know
My parents- for their patience and unfailing love
What trait did you inherit from your mom or dad?
I inherited a bit of OCD from both of my parents. My dad use to say, “If you are going to do something, you may as well figure out the best way to do it.” I probably take that to the extreme, but that’s me!
Your long, lost great uncle leaves you a million dollars. What is the first thing you would buy and why?
I would buy a house-- with lots of bathrooms! I have a large family and space is always an issue.
Biggest challenge in your job?
Time management and prioritizing are the biggest challenges I face each day. I hold a support position, which means, many different people filter tasks to me. I think the hardest thing to do each day is remember to prioritize multiple tasks from various departments, while being sure everyone is content with their place in line!
If you could go back to school, what would you study? Why?
I would definitely go to Culinary School. I love to cook and would love to have the opportunity to learn this science from start to finish!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Cabernet, Extra Dirty Martinis, aged cheese, dark chocolate…the list could go on forever…
You, a deserted island and three must haves?
Beer, Bug Repellant, My husband
